Knoxville Ride Review (zrider)
I have recently been to the Knoxville riding area. It was far better than anywhere I had been back in Pennsylvania. When I went it was pretty early in the morning. I was a little tired, but not tired enough to not ride, which is rare. My dad was Mr.Picture that day. it was super annoying I just wanted to ride! To get to any of the trails you have to ride a dirt road. Make sure you stay on the right side of the road. I was on the right side of the road but still almost became road kill!
I am a big fan of hill climbs. I did two or three that day they were a little tough but not what I am used to. I made all but the first because it turned into a single track at the top. The trails were fun and not that hard, a few places got a little rough though.
We went exploring and came across a mine. I wasn't expecting to find a mine. We also found a spot where somebody lived. That was neat to find. Another trail that was tough was one that went down to a creek. It was a long winding trail down a mountain with a cliff on one side of you. Me and my dad both almost flipped at one turn where a rock sticks out and hits your tire. The creek was a good place to stop and take a break. We were super surprised when we got to the creek. Water bottles everywhere! We rode a lot of the trails that were towards the gate we parked at. We did a lot of road riding that day. The place was not exactly what I was hoping for. I was hoping for more hill climbs being that it's in the mountains. It turned out to be a good day of riding. Even though there was trash everywhere.
